It honestly does feel like another person made the ending and not the developers. Every single moment in which you are in danger feels like it was for nothing because you played what is basically a action hero who didn't give a shit. But this ruined the entire horror atmosphere the game had. The main character makes the most bland, 'Nah' I have ever heard in my life and pops a cap in Shodan's CPU.

A game in which you are the only survivor in a space ship filled with things from the movie The Thing and a insane ai capable of universal reality shifting and the main character, offered a seat of godhood (a lie.) all he had to do was shoot Shodan without saying anything and I would not have a damn problem!īut instead. I can honestly say that this single line by the main character actually ruined the entire game for me.

With speed boosts and insta hack devices I saved up I hacked all three computers instantly and nuked her face and the final cutscene plays in which I can honestly say jumps the shark almost worse than Mass Effect 3. So I meet up with Shodan and have the final battle. this is all insane! The universe is losing control of itself and is collectively shitting itself! (I love going through impossible spaces in games like this.) I get to the end and Shodan is going to use the power of The Warp to literally tear reality asunder and become a God and I have to stop her. Warning, here be huge spoilers for the ending of System Shock 2! (I don't know how I beat Alien Isolation.)
